CLASS OF 2025
We are no longer accepting applications. Announcement soon!
Leadership Tri-County is a 9-month leadership development program that provides participants with the opportunity to learn about the Tri-County area (Knox, Laurel, and Whitley), develop their leadership skills, and make a difference in their community. The program is open to professionals from all industries and backgrounds.
Many communities are experiencing a decline in traditional civic engagement, but there's a growing movement to revitalize connection and participation. Community leadership development programs are designed to equip individuals with the skills, knowledge, and networks necessary to become effective community leaders. We contribute to advancing the Tri-County area by enhancing participants' understanding of community dynamics, fostering collaboration, developing problem-solving abilities, and promoting civic engagement.
-
Participants will learn about the history, culture, economy, and challenges of the Tri-County area through a variety of activities, including site visits, guest speakers, and group discussions.
-
Participants will develop their leadership skills through hands-on learning experiences, such as leading group projects and facilitating discussions.
-
Participants will have the opportunity to network with other professionals from different industries and backgrounds. These relationships can be helpful for participants in their current jobs and can also open up new opportunities for career advancement.
-
Participants will feel a sense of accomplishment by giving them the opportunity to make a difference in their community. This can boost their morale and motivation, which can lead to increased productivity and job satisfaction.
-
Employers are increasingly looking for employees with leadership skills and a commitment to community engagement. Participation in a leadership development program like Leadership Tri-County can give participants a competitive edge in the job market.
